Every month I try to do a day in the life type post, but it’s been a few months since I’ve actually gotten one done. That’s mostly because our house is still a disaster from the move and I don’t want to show anyone that level of messiness (yep, 7 months in, I’d make a terrible military wife). I was excited someone suggested Day in the Life for our linkup again, because I knew that would force me to do it. You’ll notice I’ve strategically cut out the floor of every shot.
Morning Tea. I’d like to say I drink this in replacement of coffee, but the truth is I drink it as a supplement to my coffee.
A delicious and nutritious morning breakfast of cereal. Excuse those half painted walls, I’ve been trying to pick paint colors which is proving to be far more difficult than I imaged.
Off to school! No it wasn’t raining, but these girls firmly believe if one is carrying an umbrella, one should use an umbrella.
Then off to work for me…
Where I did lots of fascinating jobs like archive video footage. And closed caption things. And change a light bulb.
Home again, home again jiggidy jog. The weather’s been warming up so I’ve been able to bike home lately. It’s not a far ride (20ish minutes), but I think it’s possibly my favorite part of the day.
When I arrived home the kids were playing “underground railroad.” A game in which their parents have been sold and they have decided to escape to Philadelphia in the middle of the night. They offered to let me be the plantation owner who was trying to bring them back, but I passed.
For dinner we headed to our favorite diner in the whole wide world. It was a pancakes for dinner kind of night.
After dinner I got a bit of painting in, and then fell asleep early.
Now on to the Adoption Talk Linkup!
New to linking up? We’d love to have you join us, here’s how.
