Violet’s 3rd birthday is coming up in October and we’re thinking of doing The Great Pumpkin as a theme. And when I say we I mean me since my husband thinks themes are silly. I’ve been trying to think of simple pumpkin themed things we can do at the party. The other day while browsing Pinterest I came across a great snack idea. Pumpkin patch pudding cups. So freaking cute and delicious looking. They looked exactly like small scale pumpkin patches in convenient pudding cups. Perfect! I thought. I grabbed the supplies and decided to give it a trial run with my kids in preparation for the birthday party.
You guys, in case you forgot, real life looks nothing like Pinterest. (But it’s still pretty fun)
Pudding Cups/Pudding mix
Brachs Mellowcreme Pumpkins
Twizzlers Pull N Peel or some other green shoestring candy
Step 1: Open the pudding cup. (I would hope that would go without saying, but you never know).
Step 2: Smash the Oreo. Some people in our family liked to use their hands. Some people liked to use the back of a spoon.
If you’re two you might just eat your Oreo because smashing doesn’t seem worth it. (You might also do this if you’re 30). If you don’t eat your Oreo, pour the smashed bits into the pudding cup for dirt.
Step 3: Add some pumpkins and vines.
Step 4: Eat those bad boys.
So there you go! Pumpkin patch pudding cups. You totally want to pin this picture, don’t you?
