It’s our monthly average old day in pictures! Just another regular school/work day in the Bohn house. Rob and Violet headed off to work and the babysitter’s house, respectively.
I live for the 10 minutes between Violet leaving for the babysitter’s house, and me waking the older kids up.
It was spirit week at school, and the assigned outfit for the day was to dress like the gym teacher. Yes the gym teacher. Not just any old gym teacher, but the one who teaches in their school. James had no issues. Track suit it up. Mariyah on the other hand had what one might consider a near mental break down because almost all of her athletic shirts were sleeveless. And meant for a girl. A gym teacher might wear a sleeveless pink shirt, but not her gym teacher. James decided to nap through the fashion drama.
Finally after the threat of not being allowed to wear anything, Mariyah emerged in a previously vetoed “girls” gym shirt. And got the stink eye from James.
Rob and I are on a serious spending freeze right now while we pay off all of Violet’s April hospital bills and do this whole home buying thang, so I was excited to discover a gift card I had forgotten in the coupon drawer.
The spring weather is finally deciding to re-show itself, so on my lunch break I headed toward my favorite park. This shot makes me a little sad, the beautiful Serbian Orthodox Cathedral which caught on fire earlier this month.
But this one makes me so happy, they are putting in new sculptures and getting ready to open the lawns in Madison Square Park. Come on summer!
In the afternoon we had our home inspection. Rob went, and I made him send me lots of pictures and updates by text message.
Everything looked pretty good, so on to the next step.
After work the girls and I did a little gardening…
While Rob and James made pancakes for dinner.
After dinner Mariyah and I headed off to soccer practice, which of course I forgot to bring my camera to.
And then stories and bed! We’re still reading and loving Auggie & Me.
